Our CEO - Art Avent
"I love to build.  I love to create something out of nothing.  I love to see an idea come to physical fruition and know that it is done to the best of what is possible.  I am a perfectionist when it comes to details, I build every home as if I am going to live in it.  Quality is extremely important to me and I won't sacrifice it, ever.  I am straightforward.  I am very knowledgeable.  I am honest and value integrity over any bottom line.  I have never tried to be the biggest builder, only the best.  I custom build homes.  I love what I do."

A Civil Engineer from Virginia Tech, Art has spent the last 46 years introducing beautiful top quality homes to Richmond and Central Virginia.  Art's strong personal morals and beliefs transcend his leadership and permeate AHI's culture.  His down to earth nature and upfront honesty assures clients they know exactly what they are getting, both in their home and in their builder.  He's an entrepreneur at heart, relishing the freedom to pursue standards that continually exceed that of the industry while focusing on the customer's unique desires and wants.  He only accepts a limited number of clients per year to ensure each house is built precisely to Avent Home standards with his personal involvement on every house.
